Treatment-Filtration Mode

SewaClear Illustration

Treatment/Filtration Mode: Water flows from the inlet, is mixed with a flocculant (option) moves through the Odismatic prefiltration screen and into any of the 4 filters. Water then filters through the media layers, exiting the base of the tanks and flowing to the outlet.

Backwash Mode

Backwash Mode: Backwashing occurs one filter at a time. In this picture, outlet flow has been shut-off and filtered water from Filters 2, 3, and 4 are diverting their flow upward into the base of Filter 1. This turbulent action releases debris from the media. Backwash water is returned to the treatment system upstream of SewaClear.

Direct Wash Mode

Direct Wash Mode: Following the backwash of each of the 4 filters, SewaClear initiates a “Direct Wash” that resettles the media layers. This action prepares the unit to resume normal filtration.
