Uniformity of Emitter FlowUniformity of Emitter Flow
The uniformity of the emitter flow for subsurface drip tubing ensures equal distribution and keeping the soil in an unsaturated state. This paper explores the methodology and results of a study performed at Texas A&M University by Bruce Lesikar, Associate Professor, Vance L. Weyland, Graduate Student and Russell A. Persyn, Assistant Professor with the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering.

This paper was presented at the ASAE On-Site Wastewater Treatment X, Conference, 21-24 March 2004 (Sacramento, California USA).

Clogging Resistant Design Clogging Resistant Design
Netafim’s superior emitter design virtually eliminates the clogging problems plaguing others. In test after test, Bioline has exhibited better statistics for maintaining uniform flow rates and resistance and recovery from interference with the emitter’s flow rates.

Recent research at the Ohio State University has shown that Netafim USA’s Bioline emitters performed better than others in its resistance to clogging and biofilm development. In this study, the Netafim emitters showed no signs of clogging after one year of continuous operation.

"Leachate Recirculation System Pays for Itself" - This case study describes a unique application of the use of subsurface drip dispersal technology. Netafim Bioline is used to distribute landfill leachate evenly over the entire field eliminating odor problems, increasing gas production by getting rid of hot spots and, most of all, eliminating the expense of hauling the leachate away for remote treatment and disposal.
